Pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum health are both fundamentally natural and all-consuming to new and experienced mothers alike.
We understand, support and respect the normal physiology and process of labour and birth, but we have the expertise to manage high risk and complex pregnancies. In addition, should complications or difficulties arise in the course of pregnancy or delivery, we have the people and the experience to care for you and your family seamlessly and continually.
My subspecialty expertise is in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. I work with my colleagues to ensure safe deliveries and improved repairs of patients suffering perineal injuries. In my obstetrical practice, I am happy to provide care to women throughout their pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period.
I attend deliveries at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital.
In the event of pregnancy related emergencies after 20 weeks gestation, please proceed directly to the Civic Hospital Labour and Delivery Unit (4th floor, Civic Hospital). You can also contact the Obstetrical Triage Unit 24 hours a day at the Civic Campus: 613-761-5112
We also have a very collaborative partnership with the monarch centre (https://www.monarchcentre.ca/) for perinatal support which our patients can (lactation support, bilirubin monitoring, tongue-tie assessments, as well as mom and baby assessments–for a soft landing after delivery).
Please visit our call group website: http://www.civicob.ca for more information on our group.

The Quit Smoking Program (QSP) is a nurse-led clinic that provides you with one-on-one support during your attempt to quit. The program provides a non-judgmental and supportive environment where a “quit plan” is tailored to meet your individual needs.
